Hobsons Bay has many unique locations suitable for holding many different types of events and festivals. If you are planning to hold an event or festival on public land, you will need a permit. The assessment process to obtain the permit will vary depending on the type of event you are planning.
Completing the event expression of interest form on My Hobsons Bay Hub is the first step in applying for a permit to use public land in Hobsons Bay. We'd encourage you to discuss your event proposal with the Events Unit team before completing this form by email: events@hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au or telephone: 1300 179 944.
Before filling in the form, please read both our guide on holding an event, and the terms and conditions (attached below).
After submitting the form, your event proposal will be assessed according to your event level and you will be given advice on the next steps.
Please note: The submission of the expression of interest form does not give approval to hold an event, This is the beginning of an assessment process and further information relating to the assessment may be requested.
