Permission is required for all filming on Council-managed open space, streets and facilities. You can apply for a filming permit via the filming permit form on My Hobsons Bay Hub.
All relevant application details, including site plans and traffic management plans, should be submitted at the time of application.

If you would like to run fitness classes or training sessions in a Hobsons Bay reserve or park, you are required to obtain a permit. The quickest and easiest way to do this is by completing this form on My Hobsons Bay Hub.
If you do not wish to use My Hobsons Bay Hub, you can download a copy of the Personal Training application form (attached below) and submit the completed form and all required documents tocustomerservice@hobsonsbay.vic.gov.auor in person at any Council+ location. We do not take applications over the phone however you can call customer service on 1300 179 944 and we can assist you with the process.
You will be required to agree to the personal training permit terms and conditions in your application. These can be found attached below.
Once your application has been submitted, an officer from the Sport and Recreation team will review your application and send you confirmation of your permit via the email address provided. You will be contacted should there be any queries with your application.

Hobsons Bay has many unique locations suitable for holding many different types of events and festivals. If you are planning to hold an event or festival on public land, you will need a permit. The assessment process to obtain the permit will vary depending on the type of event you are planning.
Completing the event expression of interest form on My Hobsons Bay Hub is the first step in applying for a permit to use public land in Hobsons Bay. We'd encourage you to discuss your event proposal with the Events Unit team before completing this form by email: events@hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au or telephone: 1300 179 944.
Before filling in the form, please read both our guide on holding an event, and the terms and conditions (attached below).
After submitting the form, your event proposal will be assessed according to your event level and you will be given advice on the next steps.
Please note: The submission of the expression of interest form does not give approval to hold an event, This is the beginning of an assessment process and further information relating to the assessment may be requested.
